Thorin is a master’s student in Polish philology at the University of Siedlce. He comes from the United States, where he finished his bachelor’s degree in Education and Spanish language. Thorin began learning the Polish language five years ago in the United States, and two years later participated in a Polish language and culture summer course at the University of Siedlce through the program NAWA as a stipend student through the Polish government. In 2022, he decided to return to Siedlce, Poland to participate in a year-long intensive Polish language course organized by the Center of Polish language and Culture at Siedlce University. Outside of studies, he is an English tutor and a translator. In terms of the Forgotten Polish Female Writers project, Thorin’s task is translating all content into English. |
